Are you passionate about history? Do you like Girona and want to dive into the city’s past? Don’t hesitate anymore and join us on this journey through the city’s history, from its Roman origins to the present day.

Led by a local historian, we will start the tour talking about the beginnings of the city: the reason for its foundation, its location, the Roman start… Some history that will  for sure surprise us as we begin to walk through Girona.

Little by little we will delve into the centuries and centuries of life in the city, passing through Visigoths, Muslims, Franks and Carolingians while enjoying the alleys, squares, gardens and the Jewish Quarter, discovering what happened in each specific place.

We will go through the historical events chronologically until we reach the most modern part of the Barri Vell and the Mercadal, as we discover the last centuries of the city’s history, up to the present day. Wonderful!
